Football came back, and that was great. CEH was a playmaker… but the above tweet perfectly encapsulates my biggest takeaway from watching the start of the NFL season between the the Chiefs and the Texans. The hyper-aggressive lack of empathy was disgusting to see, to say the least. Our country is broken to the point where people are booing a moment of unity between different teams and different races. We must keep pushing for change, and the strengthening of our communities.
I feel lucky that we have such an intelligent, talented and empathetic coach in Pete Carroll who supports and advocates for the things that impact his players’ lives. Among so many prepared statements by other heads of organizations, Pete’s words come across incredibly genuine and humble. Can’t wait to see the squad get down on Sunday!

Something to consider: The BLM movement, an admittedly Marxist, revolutionist organization that is trying to subvert and destabilize our nation, has absconded the racial justice cause. Those who were booing were not doing so in objection to racial justice, but rather the rioting, looting and revolution that has come to our streets as a result of the BLM organization.
Thank you for sharing your thoughts Jane. The ironic thing, is that this was a moment of unity. These players and coaches agreed to something that would make no political statements, but simply bring people together as citizens. These men were not looting anything. No matter your beliefs about outside organizations, if we can’t even support harmony together as a starting point, then where are we at as a country? I hope that you continue to read and give feedback!
